Hardware repairs

It can sometimes be difficult to know if you have a hardware or software problem. If you can give us an accurate description of the errors you are getting, we can advise you over the phone of what may be wrong and give you an approximate costing without coming on site.

You can take precautionnery measures to extend the life of your system:

• Purchase a UPS (Uninterruptable Power Supply) or at least a surge protector (we can order these in for you)
• Avoid direct sunlight on your system
• Avoid extreme temperature fluctuations in your office
• Do not place system directly on carpet
• Dust & vacuum regularly
• Do not eat sandwiches while using your laptop :)
• At least once a year call us to clean your system

We don't fix printers and certain laptops in house but will contact the manufacturer to arrange the repair for you. We can also tell you if you should spend the money to have the equipment repaired or if you are better off replacing the quipment. We do repair the following equipment in house:

• PC's & MAC's
• Servers
• Laptops

Our turnaround for hardware repairs is generally 24 hours. If we need to get system specific parts (e.g. HP, IBM etc.) and the repairs take longer, we will give you a replacement PC free of charge for the duration of the repair.
